
Kathmandu, January 16: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed the ministers from the party to make their works effective.
Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasia informed that in a meeting held today at President Deuba’s private residence in Budhanilkanth with the NC ministers in the government, President Deuba instructed to provide prompt, smooth and effective services.
"Let's make service delivery agile, transparent and effective in matters related to the people", Minister Chaurasia said, quoting President Deuba's statement, "Let's prioritize the work of the ministry over the work of the party by managing time properly."
President Deuba also requested the ministers to provide the necessary support to make the government more effective. The party Vice President, general secretaries, chief whip of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly were present in the meeting.
President Deuba gave information about the work being done and the remaining work with the Minister of the Ministry of Social Affairs. He also instructed the ministers to finalize where the laws under the respective ministries have reached and are stuck before the start of the parliament session.
According to the Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party, Shyamprasad Ghimire, today's meeting decided to work actively to make the government effective and successful and to hold regular discussions on important issues. He said that discussions were also held on the need to work actively to bring the pending bills to various committees, to speed up the process of completing the past physical projects and other programs under the jurisdiction of their respective ministries.
Chief Whip Ghimire said that it has been decided to take the necessary initiative to complete the development projects which are still waiting for resource assurance despite being in the budget of the current financial year, which could not be called for bids, and which are not working at the expected speed after the construction has started.
