
Kathmandu, December 9: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak said that the main objective of the government is to maintain sustainable peace, good governance and economic prosperity. Addressing the "Karnali Province Level Security Seminar" organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Surkhet, Birendranagar, the capital of Karnali Province today (Monday), the Home Minister said that corruption and crime should be controlled and the rule of law should be maintained and there will be no compromise on them." He said, "Discipline and delivery are important in a democracy."
Mentioning that the achievement is less due to more formalities, the Home Minister stressed on making every activity short and result-oriented. He said, "There is a need to review peace, security and crime control. We are committed to finding solutions to problems."
The Minister informed that the federal government has started formulating the federal law of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force and after that the work of police adjustment will move forward. Mentioning that the structure of the security body of thee Karnali Province is still outside the province, he requested the local and provincial government to arrange the land.
