The meeting of the Central Working Committee of the Nepali Congress has made five decisions.

Spokesperson Devaraj Chalise informed that the meeting, held on Friday at the party’s central office in Sanepa, decided, among other things, to declare party President Gagan Thapa as the prime ministerial candidate for the election to be held on Falgun 21.

The five decisions of the Congress meeting are as follows:

(1) For the election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on Falgun 21, 2082 (B.S.), this meeting of the Central Working Committee unanimously endorses the proposal made by Vice President Bishwoprakash Sharma to nominate Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa as the party’s future candidate for Prime Minister, and the support for this proposal expressed by Vice President Pushpa Bhusal.
