Kathmandu, Jan 24: Prime Minister Sushila Karki said the government is putting full effort into ensuring lasting stability in the country.

Addressing a program held on Friday to mark the 25th Armed Police Force Day, she said security challenges keep changing with time. She praised the Armed Police Force for its role in conducting past elections in a free, fair, and fear-free environment and directed it to study possible security challenges in detail and work with high alertness and professionalism for the upcoming House of Representatives election.

Prime Minister Karki said the government has already decided to mobilize all security agencies for the election. She instructed officials to manage security in a way that ensures not a single drop of blood is shed and that no one is injured during the polls.

“Security challenges are changing with time. The role played by the Armed Police Force in holding past elections in a free, fair, and fear-free environment has been commendable,” she said.

She added that the government is using all its strength to end the current transitional phase and maintain lasting stability in the country. “A decision has already been taken to mobilize all security agencies. There must be no bloodshed and no injuries during the election,” she said.

The prime minister expressed confidence that all security bodies will show a high level of professionalism to make the election a success.
