Kathmandu, Aug 29: Two people were killed in a road accident in Jadibuti, Kathmandu, early Friday morning.
According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, the deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Shiris Paudel, a scooter rider originally from Nawalparasi and currently residing in Lokanthali, Bhaktapur, and 23-year-old Nitesh Nepal from Kavrepalanchok.
Police said that at around 3 am, their scooter (Lu 43 Pa 4938) rammed into a bus (Ba Pra 01–006 Kha 4243) that was parked on the roadside near the overhead bridge at Jadibuti.
Both of them sustained serious injuries and died while undergoing treatment at the Trauma Centre, police confirmed.
