Kathmandu, 9 November: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Monday. the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 2,571 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours while conducting PCR test of 11,177 persons. With the new addition, the number of infected persons has reached 197,024.
Among the new cases detected today 1,428 have been reported from within the Kathmandu Valley.
Today 1,798 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 159,724. As of today, there are 36,174 active cases of infection across the country.
A total of 18 people died of the deadly virus in the past 24 hours. With this the death toll has reached 1126, according to MoHP.
