Kathmandu, October 27: Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli had wished to visit Delhi before starting his foreign visits but he was unable to get an invitation from the Indian government even after completing the honeymoon period in the government.

Earlier, PM Oli had postponed his visit to China even after receiving an invitation from the Chinese government. When PM Oli saw no gesture from India for receiving an invitation from Delhi, he decided to visit Beijing in November this year.

According to a report in the Nagarik vernacular daily, PM Oli is preparing to visit Beining in November this year.

The daily quoting high-level sources in the Prime Minister’s Office, has stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is doing homework for the visit.

Prime Minister Oli met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the United Nations General Assembly in September last year. Modi was invited to visit Nepal. But since there is no possibility of Modi coming to Nepal immediately and Nepal’s Prime Minister Oli is also not in a position to visit India immediately, preparations are being made to visit northern neighbor China.

“There is a possibility that the prime minister will visit China in November, the date has not been fixed,” the source said.

“According to sources, the Nepali Embassy in China is coordinating for the Prime Minister’s visit”, it is reported.
