Kathmandu, August 14: Nepal Army Chief of Staff General Ashok Raj Sigdel has expressed his commitment to complete the Kathmandu-Tarai-Madhes Expressway on time.
Responding to questions raised by lawmakers during a discussion of the National Concerns Committee held at the Ministry of Defense at Singha Durbar on Thursday, he urged them to remain confident that the Nepali Army will complete the work on time.
Sigdel said that a new DPR has been prepared excluding the Sikali Temple area and the areas where the Kiriyaputri live on the Fast Track, which has the Khokana departure point in Lalitpur. Khokana is also the starting point. It is 65 kilometers long. It is a place of historical and religious importance, he said, “We have prepared a new DPR excluding the Sikali temple area and the places where the deceased will live after the cremation.”
Sigdel said that he has an obligation to complete the work by Chaitra 2083 and is confident that the work can be completed by the given period.
