There has been an unprecedented fervor in the celebration of Prithvi Jayanti all over Nepal. Nepal Army offered a Guard of Honor, The President, Prime-Minister, Chief-Justice; Civil Servants and People from all walks of life remembered and paid homage to The Great King Prithvi Narayan Shah who created Nepal in 1769.
What could be the reason of this fervor this year that people all over Nepal celebrated Prithvi Jayanti in such and spontaneous manner? Are the people slowly and gradually getting frustrated by the leaders and republic system of Nepal? This is a big question!
Truly speaking, The Great King Prithvi Narayan Shah stands in Nepali history what George Washington stands for the United States of America and Otto-von-Bismarck stands for Germany. Prithvi Narayan Shah started his unification campaign when he was just 22 years old and he continued his campaign for 30 years until his early demise at the age of 52.
There is a saying that” A large mouth doesn’t indicate a big brain. Recent arrogance of both former Prime Minister Oli and Deuba have badly failed their firm control over their party cadres. Their power and popularity are in descending order while the king and the institution of monarchy could be found ascending in popular support, strength and popularity.
Now the time has come for the people and political leaders to realize that the institution of monarchy is still alive, valid, and forceful to be ignored and warded-off. Gen-Z has demonstrated well on how powerful the federal leaders and their government were. It is vital to remember that the king as a leader and monarchy as a political intuition is still indispensable for the existence and survival for Nepal as a sovereign independent country.
It has become apparent that Nepali Republican leaders hardly care for the Nation, People and National interests till this date. It is how hard to understand new party leaders like Swarnim Wagle who has no cares for traditional national sentiment of Nepali people as he has nothing Nepali except his ambition to be a minister. Gen-Z must be aware that not even old or new leaders use them as pawns of Foreign Deep States agents and their hidden agendas.
Despite all insult, suffering and humiliation, old leaders are so addicted to government power and perks, they refuse to rehabilitate themselves and allow any place to accommodate new generations in politics and government services. Once they repudiated monarchy, they became new Republican Monarch with “King can do no wrong” attitude and demeanor. Taking K P Sharma Oli, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Puspa Kamal Dahal and many others into account, they repudiated the king and monarchy from the crown and started putting themselves above law. It is very disappointing to see that the Government and the Commission failed to bring the arrogance and haughtiness of our outmoded mentally and politically incorrect and corrupt political leaders once again.
Post Gen-Z politics of Nepal has led the country into more complexes, confused and in chaos. Federal political parties whether Nepal Congress, UML or even the Maoist party are disoriented disintegrated and are in chaos. The time has come to recognize the contribution and utility of century’s old monarchy its proper place and share in national polity.
Today Republican leaders have less patience and credentials today forcibly ousted King Gynendra BB Shah. Gen-Z and newly formed parties are individually based with less ground-work and experiences.
Recent, message by the king has weight, determination, challenge and substance. If the election meets any accidents- the country may take an unprecedented chaos and anarchy. Even if the government succeeds to run successfully, without cooperation and support of the traditional forces the elected government may find difficulty. The best option for every Nepali is to encompass – both federalist and monarchist to get along and prosper in peace and harmony.
