
Kathmandu, April 27: The Nepal Teachers Federation has stated that 60 teachers were injured in a clash between teachers and police today.
Federation Co-Chair Nanumaya Parajuli claimed that 60 people were injured in a "planned attack on teachers."
She said, "I am in the hospital. 60 of our teacher friends have been injured. The state deliberately tried to disrupt the peaceful protest. First, outsiders threw stones at the police. Then the atmosphere deteriorated."
The Nepal Teachers Federation has strongly condemned the police's use of water cannons. General Secretary of the Nepal Teachers Federation Tula Bahadur Thapa said that the Federation will strongly condemn this incident.
