
Kathmandu, April 26: Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli didn’t address the House of the Federal Parliament on Friday, the first day of the beginning of the budget session.
PM Oli was scheduled to address the House on Friday but when senior leaders from big parties were absent, Oli postponed the program to address the House.
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba returned from Bangkok on Friday but didn’t attend the Parliament meeting the same day. Maoist Center Chairman and leader of the main opposition party, Pushpakamal Dahal went to Barpak to participate in a program to pay tribute to those killed in the devastating earthquake ten years ago in 2015. Barpak was the epicentre of the 2015 catastrophic earthquake.
Oli cancelled the program to address the House on Friday due to absence of senior leaders, say sources.
Oli may address the House anytime in the coming days, according to the Federal Parliament secretariat.
