Kathmandu, April 26: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden has said that speaking in favor of the monarchy is not against democracy.

He said this while speaking at Friday's meeting of the House of Representatives. A false narrative has been created that talking about the monarchy means opposing democracy. I want this dignified parliament and the people's representatives not to use that false narrative. The monarchy is not against democracy and loktantra," he said.

He said that monarchy and democracy are not alternatives but complements of each other. He said that monarchy and democracy have progressed together in many prosperous and developed countries of the world.
