Kathmandu, March 31: Arjun Narasingh KC, the senior-most member of the House of Representatives, has called an all-party meeting. The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, at 1 pm in the Parliament Secretariat.
“Calling all-party meetings to discuss parliamentary sessions is a common practice,” says Ekram Giri, spokesperson for the Parliament Secretariat. “The senior member of the House has called this meeting.”
The first session of the House of Representatives will be held on Thursday at 2 pm. The all-party meeting of six represented parties has been convened to discuss matters related to that session.
Until a Speaker is elected, the senior member will preside over the House. He had administered the oath to the members of the House on Chaitra 12.
