Kathmandu, Feb 13. Rabindra Mishra, senior vice chair of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and candidate from Kathmandu Constituency No 1, has said that welcoming former king Gyanendra Shah is their natural right.

In a social media post, he wrote, “Sensitive areas like the airport must remain secure, but outside that, it is our natural right to peacefully welcome the King. When others are welcomed, nothing happens, but when it comes to welcoming the King, a prohibitory order is issued. Please, let us stop this politics of prohibition now.”

Former King Shah, who is currently in Jhapa, is scheduled to return to Kathmandu today. Royalist groups have been preparing to welcome him at Tribhuvan International Airport.
