
Kathmandu, February 13: Maeda Toru, Ambassador of Japan, hosted a National Day Reception at his official residence in Tahachal on Wednesday to celebrate the 66th auspicious birthday of the Emperor of Japan.
About 380 guests, including the Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, as the Chief Guest, ministers, former prime ministers, former ministers, ambassadors, heads of international organizations in Nepal, government officials and many friends of Japan attended the reception.
Ambassador Maeda, in his speech, highlighted that the recent visit of President Ramchandra Paudel to Japan from February 1 to 5, to commemorate this milestone of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Nepal reaffirmed the long-standing friendship between our nations and paved the way for deeper collaboration in the years ahead. He also reaffirmed that Japan remains committed to strengthening our partnership with Nepal and together we look forward to deepening our friendship, expanding cooperation, and working toward shared aspirations for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
