Kathmandu, February 9: Durga Prasai, coordinator of the “Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Protection Grand Campaign,” has been released on an attendance bail.

On Sunday, the Kathmandu Attorney’s Office ordered the release of Prasai on attendance bail, according to Cyber Bureau spokesperson SP Deepak Raj Awasthi.

Prasai was arrested on Friday after the Cyber Bureau received a complaint from the Election Commission.

He had been detained for investigation on charges of attempting to disrupt the election process, violating the election code of conduct, and under Section 47 of the Electronic Transactions Act, 2074 (2017). He was released on attendance bail when he was taken to the Government Attorney on Sunday for a remand extension.
