
Kathmandu, Feb 2: Dinesh Sitaula, a film journalist who was covering the election campaign of Balendra Shah (Balen), the prime ministerial candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for the upcoming election, has passed away.
According to Grande Hospital, Sitaula died on Sunday. He was 45. Sitaula was the immediate past president of the Film Journalists Association of Nepal.
He collapsed after suddenly losing consciousness while accompanying Balen’s election campaign in Achham. Following the incident, he was airlifted to Kathmandu by a Nepal Army helicopter for treatment.
Sitaula’s body was kept at the Film Development Board for final tributes. He was also the operator of Film Online and The Cinema Times.
