
Kathmandu, Feb 1: Printing of ballot papers for the first past the post category of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5 has been completed for 15 districts, covering 18 constituencies.
According to the Election Commission of Nepal, ballot printing for these constituencies has been completed so far. Printing work is continuing at Janak Education Materials Centre in Bhaktapur.
The commission said ballot printing for the direct election category has been completed for Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Salyan, and Jajarkot. Printing has also been completed for Dailekh constituencies 1 and 2, Surkhet constituencies 1 and 2, Rukum West, Bajura, Achham constituencies 1 and 2, Kailali constituency 1, Jhapa constituency 5, and Sunsari constituency 1.
The commission said 1,098,200 sample ballot papers have already been printed and delivered to the respective constituencies. Printing of 20.83 million ballot papers for the proportional representation system has also been completed.
