
Kathmandu, Nov 13: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has extended best wishes to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chandra Kubar Khapung, who retired after completing three decades in the Nepal Police. Speaking at a farewell event, Aryal lauded Khapung’s leadership and professionalism, saying his sharp judgment and competence had strengthened confidence within the police force.
Minister Aryal congratulated the outgoing police chief for his long and successful service, adding that Khapung’s knowledge and discipline would remain valuable to the country even after retirement. Reflecting on their brief working period together, Aryal said it had been meaningful and productive.
Home Secretary Rameshwar Dangal also praised Khapung’s efficiency, saying that while the ministry and security agencies serve in different capacities, their mission of maintaining national order and safety is shared. He wished Khapung a fulfilling and peaceful retired life.
In his farewell address, Khapung said sincerity and commitment define true service, and urged the police force to stay motivated and disciplined. Expressing gratitude to colleagues and partners for their cooperation, he said teamwork and integrity were the key reasons behind the institution’s strength and success.
