
Kathmandu, October 12: Former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who has been accused in the gold smuggling case, has been arrested.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police apprehended him on Sunday. On March 22 of last year, the District Government Attorney’s Office had released Mahara into the custody of his son, instructing that he appear for investigation when summoned, citing his health condition at the time.
