Kathmandu, September 23: Goddess Brahmacharini is worshipped today, the second day of Navratri. Brahmacharini, the second of the nine forms of Goddess Durga, is worshipped in the Pooja House or Room.
On the first day of Navratri, on Monday, Goddess Sailaputri was worshipped.
During the nine days of Navratri, religious texts such as Durga Saptashati (Chandi) and Srimad Bhagwat Geeta are recited at the Ghatasthapana Room. There is a religious belief that worshipping the goddess during this period will bring power, prosperity and learning. Goddess Brahmacharini is considered to be the realization of Brahma in the form of Satchidananda.

With the beginning of Navratri, the rush of devotees has increased in the Shaktipeeths across the country.
