
Kathmandu, September 16: The number of foreign students studying abroad is increasing. In just one month’s time, Rs 14.31 billion has been sent abroad for studies.
According to the data released by the Nepal Rastra Bank on Monday, September 15, the expenditure on education is slightly lower than last year. Out of the 14.31 billion spent for the study in the first month of the current income, the last income was Rs. 14.96 billion in the same period.
Travel expenditure under the service account decreased by 2.8 percent to 21.7 billion rupees in the first month of the current year. Similarly, the travel expenditure in the same period of the previous year was Rs 22.32 billion.
Self-service income is at a deficit of 13.39 billion during the review period. In the same period last year, self-service income was 15.6 billion. Under the service account, the travel revenue has increased by 12. percent to 5.38 billion during the period under review.
In the same period last year, such income was Rs 4.77 billion.
