
Kathmandu, September 15: The office bearers of the Constitutional Commission have started resigning after the new government was formed following the Gen Z movement.
President Ram Chandra Paudel on Monday accepted the resignations of the members of the National Human Rights Commission and the Madhesi Commission.
Vijay Kumar Gupta, a member of the Madhesi Commission, has resigned. According to a statement issued by the President’s Office, President Ram Chandra Paudel has accepted the resignation submitted in accordance with Section 4 (a) of the Madhesi Commission Act 2074.
Member of the National Human Rights Commission, Dr. Surya Prasad Dhungel has also tendered resignation. According to a statement issued by Pradeep Kumar Koirala, spokesperson of the President’s Office, Dhungel’s resignation was accepted in accordance with Article 248 (5) (a) of the Constitution of Nepal.
