Kathmandu, September 1: Mahalaxmi Development Bank, which is providing easy and safe banking services to its clients, is awarded with “Asset Quality” category honor from the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Kolkata.
The Bank received the award at the 3rd Emerging Asia Banking Conclave and Award held in New Delhi on August 29, 2025.
The Banking Conclave and Awards, one of the most prestigious in the BIMSTEC region, saw participation of banks from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
The Bank has been successful in receiving this award for performing remarkable work on the structure of assets, the effective operation of assets and improving the quality of assets.
The bank believes that the award will help establish the bank’s identity in the international arena.
Recently, Mahalaxmi Development Bank and India’s leading financial institution H.D.F.C., signed an agreement to promote cross-border financial services and payments from India to Nepal. Under the agreement, Mahalaxmi Development Bank has introduced a system for customers to make payments from India to Nepal.
