Kathmandu, August 29: The book, “Bhutan: One Journey, Many Experiences” authored by Bhuwan Paudel, Under Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, was formally launched during a special ceremony held on Wednesday evening at Baluwatar.

The publication was unveiled jointly by several distinguished dignitaries, including Loknath Sharma, former minister for economic affairs of Bhutan; Madhuban Paudel, former ambassador of Nepal to Kuwait; Yaduvansh Jha, former minister for forests, Nepal; Bhim Sharma, prominent tourism entrepreneur from Bhutan.

In his address, author Paudel shared that the book draws inspiration from his four-day visit to Bhutan last year (Asar). He explained that the narrative captures both his observations during the journey and reflective insights thereafter, providing a comprehensive portrayal of Bhutan’s geographical, economic, social, and cultural dimensions.

Speaking at the ceremony, former minister Sharma commended the publication, expressing delight at the launch of a book on Bhutan in Nepal. Widely regarded as a respected leader with extensive experience in governance and regional affairs, Sharma has served Bhutan for five years at the ministerial level and is recognized for his dedication to fostering cultural exchange and strengthening people-to-people ties between the two nations.

Former ambassador Paudel remarked that while his tenure in foreign service did not provide the opportunity to present such detailed insights, this book successfully highlights the historical and cultural essence of Bhutan.
