Kathmandu, Aug 22: Kathmandu Metropolitan City is launching a one-day mega campaign today to control dengue. The campaign, named ‘Walk and Act,’ will begin at 8 am from the National Assembly Hall.

According to Deepak Kumar KC, chief of the city’s Health Department, the drive will include destroying mosquito breeding sites, spreading awareness through public announcements, and sharing preventive measures against mosquito bites.
He said the decision to carry out the campaign in all wards of the metropolis at the same time was made in a departmental meeting on August 11.
The metropolis had earlier been organizing such campaigns every Friday.
