Kathmandu, August 21: While Nepal’s political leadership has largely remained silent over the recent India-China agreement to open a trade route through Lipulek, Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav” has strongly objected, calling it a direct intervention in Nepal’s sovereignty.
Chand asserted that Kalapani, Limpiyadhura, and Lipulek are inseparable parts of Nepali territory, and any bilateral agreement reached without the consent of the Government of Nepal is unacceptable.
