Kathmandu, August 19: Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, a girls’ campus recognized as the largest educational institution in the country, is celebrating its 75th anniversary by organizing various programs.

On Sunday, the Campus organized a fair in the Campus premises. 21 stalls exhibiting different items, traditional Newari foods, clothing, games, among others. The Campus management and students run the stalls.

Sunita Dangol, Deputy Chief of Kathmandu Metropolis, inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest of the event.
During the closing of the exhibition, Professor Dr Jayalaxmi Pradhan, Campus Chief, praised the generosity of the female students as a shining example of women’s empowerment.

Pradhan said that a month-long program is being organized while observing the grand event of the Diamond Jubilee Ceremony. Events include an essay competition, a free health camp, blood donation program, among others. The P.K. Night, a grand musical event, is going to be observed on September 2, said Pradhan.  
Chairperson of the committee formed for various programs on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee, Associate Professor Pratima Shrestha, informed that the main program of Padma Kanya Musical Night will be organized on Bhadra 17 (September 2).
