Kathmandu, August 18: Two people died and three others were injured when a motorcycle and a scooter collided at Special Chowk in Budhanilkantha-7 late Sunday night.

Police said a scooter (Bagmati Province 02-041 Pa 6819) and a motorcycle (Province 3-02-002 Pa 572) crashed around 1:45 am. Bhola Thapa, 29, of Jandaha, Siraha, and another man, estimated to be 35, were rushed to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital where doctors declared them dead at 2:15 am.

Relatives have yet to be contacted, and one of the deceased remains unidentified, according to Budhanilkantha police.

Among the injured are 24-year-old Eric Pariyar of Arupokhari, Gorkha, currently residing in Bhangaal, Budhanilkantha-8, and two men aged between 28 and 32 whose identities have not been established. Police said the condition of the two unidentified men is critical, and efforts are underway to trace their families.
