Kathmandu, Aug 15: The death toll of Nepalis from consuming toxic alcohol in Kuwait has risen to 16.
Thirty-six others are undergoing treatment in hospitals, with more than half reported to be in critical condition.
Kuwait has a ban on alcohol consumption, but some groups secretly produce and sell it illegally. Around 160,000 Nepalis are currently working in Kuwait.
