Kathmandu, Aug 10: A pickup Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number BA 13.Cha 3935, traveling from Manthali, Ramechhap to Hetauda, met with an accident at a place called Bokse Pahiro in Manthali Municipality-6. Radha Karki Chauhan, 40, a health worker from Manthali Municipality, died at the scene.

The driver of the Scorpio and Radha’s husband, 45-year-old Uttam Chauhan, was injured and taken to Kathmandu for further treatment after initial care at Manthali Community Hospital, said Inspector Kaushal Nyaupane of the district police office.

According to Inspector Nyaupane, the vehicle fell about 100 meters off the road and landed near the banks of the Tamakoshi River.

Radha, who was also the in-charge of the Urban Health Center in Manthali-7, and her husband Uttam, who works at the Electricity Authority branch in Manthali, were reportedly traveling to Hetauda on Sunday morning (August 10) to visit their son who is studying there.
