
Kathmandu, August 9: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has said that diplomatic initiatives have been taken to search for and rescue Nepali citizens who are reported to have gone missing due to floods in Uttarakhand, neighboring India.
She informed that diplomatic efforts were launched to search for and rescue some Nepalis who had gone missing in the floods. Expressing her deep sorrow over the news that Nepali citizens have also gone missing in the floods, Foreign Minister Dr. Rana said on social media that the Nepalese government has initiated diplomatic initiatives to search for and rescue them.
“It is deeply saddening to hear that some Nepali citizens have also gone missing in the floods in neighboring India's Uttarakhand a few days ago. The Government of Nepal has already initiated diplomatic initiatives to search for and rescue them."
"I have instructed the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi to coordinate with the Indian government to search and rescue the missing Nepali citizens," she said.
