Kathmandu, August 8: Banks will no longer be able to open letters of credits (LCs) for four-wheeled vehicles that do not meet Euro 6 standards. The Foreign Exchange Department of the Nepal Rastra Bank issued a circular in this regard.

Arrangements have been made not to allow the transportation of vehicles and other materials that do not meet the Nepali Vehicle Pollution Standards 2082.

Nepal’s Vehicle Pollution Standards 2082 stipulates that two-wheeled, three-wheeled and four-wheeled small vehicles must meet Euro 5 and four-wheeled vehicles to meet Euro 6 standards.
