Kathmandu, Aug 5: The Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal, has recommended 77 officers for promotion, selecting them based on seniority, job performance, and professional capability.
As per the list finalized on Monday, six officers have been named for promotion to Senior Superintendent of Armed Police (SSP), 22 to Superintendent (SP), one to Technical SP, and 48 to Deputy Superintendent (DSP).
Deputy Spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa said the selection process gave priority to experience, qualifications, and performance records. He said the move is expected to motivate personnel and strengthen the organization.
The officers recommended for SSP include those from the second batch who were promoted to SP in an earlier phase. The SP list features officers from the third and fourth batches, along with some from an alternate group of the third batch. Those selected for DSP are all from the ninth batch.
APF had opened applications for these promotions on July 16, asking interested candidates to submit forms along with academic and other required documents within 15 days.
