
Kathmandu, Aug 3: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to leave for Turkmenistan at midnight today.
He is traveling to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs). According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, PM Oli will depart for Turkmenistan via Dubai on a Fly Dubai flight scheduled for 11:55 PM tonight, leading the Nepali delegation.
The LLDC summit, chaired by Nepal, will take place in Awaza city, Turkmenistan, from August 5 to 8 (Shrawan 20 to 23).
As the Chair of the global coordination bureau of Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address the conference. He will also co-chair a high-level roundtable meeting during the event. On the sidelines of the summit, he will hold bilateral meetings with heads of delegations from various countries, as well as with senior officials of the United Nations and other international organizations.
Accompanying the Prime Minister in the high-level delegation are First Lady Radhika Shakya, Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, CPN-UML MP Surya Thapa, Principal Private Secretary Rajesh Bajracharya, Personal Physician Prof. Dr. Divya Singh Shah, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, senior government officials, official media personnel, and security staff.
Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to return home on Friday night, Shrawan 23 (August 8).
