The war between Iran and Israel has ended in 12 days in a dramatic development.

The war in the Middle East began on June 13 when Israel crossed the red line and hit Iran. Later, Iran retaliated by hitting Israel. When the two arch-rivals of the Middle East were hitting each other, the USA inserted itself in the war on June 21 bombarding three sites, believed to have been the nuclear centres, in Iran. It was reported that the USA used 125 aircraft to hit Iran on Saturday night. When the USA itself was involved in the conflict, there was a widespread fear of the Third World War.

However, after the USA bombarded Iran, and the later delayed in responding to the attacks, dramatic developments unfolded. Amid conflicting reports about the inflictions caused in Iran by the USA, Iran, with pre-information, hit the USA base in Qatar on Monday night. Immediately after Iran hit the USA airbase in Qatar, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel.

However, even after the announcement, Israel and Iran violated it by hitting each other, making the world suspicious whether the war would end.

Angered by the continued launches of missiles, Trump expressed ire against Israel and Iran even by using 'four-letter' words for not abiding by the ceasefire.

Finally, what Trump announced paid, and the ceasefire came into effect on Tuesday after the deal initially faltered.

With the ceasefire, normalcy has returned. The disturbed flights in the gulf countries resumed and the fear of WW III has now been over.

In the 12-day war, Iran suffered the most as its topmost army generals were killed. In total, 974 people were killed in Iran and 28 in Israel. Likewise, over 1,000 were injured in Israel and about 3500 in Iran.

India rescues two Nepalis from Iran

When the Nepal government was unable to rescue its citizens from conflict zones of Iran and Israel, India safely rescued two Nepali nationals from Iran under India's Operation Sindhu programme.

Although 11 Nepalis were said to be rescued from Iran, only two were rescued and arrived in Nepal via Butwal. Nine others were not rescued as they lacked exit permission.

Now that the war has ended with a ceasefire, the nine will not be returning to Nepal.

As a friend of Nepal, India has been rescuing Nepalis together with Indian nationals from conflict zones for a long.
