Along with the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, they should formally resign from the party membership. It is because they should perform independent and impartial roles while running the House. However, Speaker Devraj Ghimire is seen much biased against MPs from the opposition parties. He is found responding to the voices of those MPs from the ruling parties.

On Sunday, when independent MP Amrish Kumar Singh, speaking on the budget for the new fiscal year, said that only five districts are seen as lucky to get enough budget. The rest 72 districts are seen as unlucky to get the taxpayers’ money. If the government collects tax but is unable to provide funds, then he suggested giving the 72 districts to foreign countries—USA, China and India—on lease.

The reality is that the government has poured the budget into districts led by senior and influential leaders from the ruling parties.

UML’s chief whip objected to Singh’s remarks and asked the Speaker to delete Singh’s remarks from the record, saying that his opinion was intended to sell the nation.

Immediately after that, Speaker Ghimire stopped Singh from addressing the House and gave the order to delete Singh’s remarks.

Not to forget, Ramchandra Paudel is more an NC leader than the President of the country.

Nepali socialism

This is the paddy plantation season, but the government is unable to supply fertilizer to the farmers.

The sugarcane farmers are unable to get the subsidy announced by the government. Contradictorily, the government has enough funds for the extensive renovation of the Prime Minister’s residence. The government constructed luxury residences for the chief ministers from seven provinces and new ministers’ quarters in Baisepati, but no funds to provide a subsidy for the farmers!

When two airports start smooth operation of international flights?

Why did the government construct two international airports—one in Pokhara, another in Bhairahawa—when it has been unable to start the smooth operation of international services? If the government didn’t want to operate the international flights from the two airports, why did it construct them by taking debt? If the government wishes to operate the two airports, it is not a big issue.

If provided a heavy discount and facilities, surely, international flight operators will start flying to Bhairahawa and Pokhara. They will ferry passengers from Kathmandu. Those domestic aircraft also get business while transporting passengers from Kathmandu or other parts of the country.

Unfortunately, even if the aircraft diverted from the Kathmandu sky during bad weather, they are asked to go to the nearby airports in India, but not to Bhairahawa and Pokhara. This is the evidence that the government is incapable.

Fake claims

The government has claimed that this year, compared to the previous year, the country's exports have significantly increased.

The export of different cooking oils has contributed to the increase in our exports, according to reports. When the Indian government increased tax on imports of vegetable oils imported from third countries, Nepal, enjoying the subsidy granted by India, exported vegetable oils to India by importing them from Singapore, Malaysia and other countries.

We could feel pride if Nepal were able to increase the export of the products that have been produced by using our own raw materials. Exporting goods with 100% foreign raw materials would help only to show the graph of a surge in exports; otherwise, we believe, this is a fake export.

QUOTES OF THE WEEK

One Western culture that can be appreciated is that the Prime Minister becomes a common citizen after he retires from the job, contradictory, in our country, they enjoy government facilities until their death.

Farmers get speeches only; all the facilities and subsidies will be enjoyed by those nine supreme leaders.

Nepal could be the only country in the world, where, the government issues a passport valid till 10 years to travel its citizens abroad and stop them from going on a "visit visa" at the time of flying from the airport after the visa is issued by the concerned country and if the money is paid, then the officials allow them to fly through a setting.

Ranjeet Rae's name and work are known to everyone in Nepal. This man played a role in imposing the broker system in the name of the republic has now realized that the old leaders are all corrupt, and unless they are removed, the country will not get relief, nor will it work in the interest of the country and the people.

According to the principle of separation of powers, the executive would not be able to stop a civil bill passed by the parliament from becoming an act immediately. Now the place to go is the judiciary. But Bhagbanda and Jhole traditions did not let them remain trustworthy institutions.

In Nepali or Sanatan culture, there can be no religion without a king. Hinduism without Dharma protector is the action plan of the Indian RSS.

Through Israel, European countries, including the United States, have adopted a strategy of occupation in the Middle East. This is an outdated agenda. It only creates conflict. They will never become successful.

Urban Development Minister Prakash Singh has allocated a budget of Rs 57 crore in the name of his father Ganeshman Singh. Politics is not easy for parliamentarians. You have to give money to get a ticket, you have to spend a lot to win elections, you have to spend money again to become a minister. And after becoming a minister, you will not even get a budget in your district.
