Kathmandu: After the massacre of Nepal Banda, the Congress has dug its heels and clung to office without any remorse. The UML leadership has reconciled to the coming local polls and has reached an uneasy mass.

The Machiavellian Manmohan Adhikari has also met the King, assuring His Majesty, that the UML as a loyal opposition will be conciliatory towards both the Congress and the other Leftists.

On the other hand, CPN (Masal) has come out with its own program with 14-point demands, prominent among is the resignation of the government and criminals responsible for the massacre brought to book promptly. It has also brought out another joint progress with the Nepal Communist League, Nepal Peasants and Workers Party and the Marxist-Leninist-Maoists. While demands are similar the programs are fixed in such a way so as not to hamper each other’s agenda.
