Kathmandu, May 18: Distinguished delegates in the “Sagarmatha Sambad” had the opportunity to taste organic Ilam tea this time.

Under the special initiative of Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, a stall was placed at the “Sagarmatha Sambad” venue in Kathmandu.

An exhibition of fresh organic Orthodox Tea from Ilam has been organized at the Sagarmatha Conference Hall of Hotel Soltee in coordination with the Suryaodaya Municipality. Various types and flavors of the tea-tasting event have been arranged.

The exhibition hall attracted many foreigners and locals, who also tasted various types of tea and they liked the taste, according to the organizers.

Many who attended the Sagarmatha Dialogue visited the tea exhibition hall, tasted the tea, and learned about the characteristics of Nepali tea. Chairman Pradhan mentioned that he had the experience of promoting Nepali tea at such an international conference.

Deepak Joshi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board, informed that they facilitated the promotion of Nepal's tea in the world. Not only that, but they also gifted organic tea from Ilam to the foreign guests and panelists participating in this dialogue. The Nepal Tourism Board sponsored this event.
