The Movement for the Restoration of the Monarchy and the Protection of the Sanatan Hindu religion has announced an indefinite period of movement beginning from May 29.
At a time when the nation is passing through chaos; the national treasury is facing a deficit of two trillion rupees in the current account; the government has turned a lame duck; the national identity is in crisis and an all-side downfall of the nation has been witnessed, above 50 different pro-monarchist political parties and groups have become united and announced to launch a decisive movement for restoration of the institution of monarchy.
The Coordinator of the Committee formed for the restoration of the monarchy, Navaraj Subedi, announced at a press conference held in the capital on Thursday, May 8, that an indefinite people's movement will be launched from May 29.
"We will start an indefinite period of peaceful people's movement from May 29," said Subedi, "Our movement will be based on Satyagraha and civil disobedience."
He clarified that the movement will not be against any political party or government but will focus on system change.
The announcement meeting was attended by leaders including the chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, the chairman of RPP Nepal, Kamal Thapa, and chairman of the Rastriya Shakti Nepal, Keshar Bahadur Bista.
The organizers claimed that above 50 different political parties and pro-monarchy and pro-Sanatan Hindu groups have joined hands to succeed the movement.
Meanwhile, scared of the possible massive protest, those looters in the government treasury, enjoying power by exploiting Nepali nationals, have planned to suppress the peaceful movement.
