
Kathmandu, May 9: Police started checking identity cards of everyone entering Nepal and going to India through Nepal-India border points viewing the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan.
The security deployed at the border points has started to check the identity cards and keep travellers' records.
As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate, Nepal has begun to adopt high-security alerts in areas bordering India.
After Vijay Chauthaiwale’s special meeting with Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, the Ministry gave a special order to maintain high-security alert at border points between Nepal and India. Chauthaiwale, Indian BJP leader, was in town last week to bag Nepal's support on India's war on Pakistan.
