
Kathmandu, May 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has complained that the language used in Nepali media is inappropriate.
At a program organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday to mark the 125th anniversary of Gorkhapatra Daily, PM Oli said that the language used by Nepali media is disrespectful to the country's prominent figures and inappropriate.
He opined that no one should do anything to diminish the stature of the Nepali language. PM Oli asserted that Gorkhapatra Prakashan is now free to write as there is no interference from the ruler like during the autocratic era.
He praised the contribution made by Gorkhapatra Daily to the development of the country's civilization and culture, as well as the economy and the Nepali language.
