Kathmandu, May 5: The Kathmandu District Court extended the custody tenure of Rabindra Mishra for a further five days on Sunday.
Expressing his utter surprise at the way of providing justice, Senior Vice President of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Rabindra Mishra said to the court, "I am surprised by the working style of the administration of justice."
Mishra added, "While I am in custody, I have strictly adhered to the law and will always cooperate with the legal process." “But today I feel like I'm being treated unfairly”.
He said that Bhagwati Rokka, who had a similar case as in the March 28 Tinkune incident, was released, but he did not understand the meaning of extending himself again and again when all the legal procedures were completed. He also requested the public prosecutor not to put all the incidents in one basket.
Mishra had also complained of non-compliance by the police and the court with the earlier order of Baisakh 10 (April 23). "According to the order of Baisakh 10, the order to complete the entire legal process and leave was not complied with, which caused a mess," he said.
Even today, the court has extended the deadline without providing details of what investigation is pending on Mishra.
