Kathmandu, May 4: A book titled 'By the Book' by Birendra Bahadur Basnet, air entrepreneur and executive chairman of Buddha Air, has been released. The book covers various aspects of Buddha Air's success and managerial aspects during the nearly 28 years of its establishment.

Sagarbhakta Shrestha, former chief administrator of the Karmachari Sanchaya Kosh and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Himalayan Bank, Ashok Shumsher JBR, jointly released the book amidst a program organized in Lalitpur on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the then Chief Administrator Shrestha said Buddha Air, established as a model organization for successful management and quality service, was an inspiration for all. He noted that it was an important opportunity for him to play the role of a financial resource in the initial operation of Buddha Air, which is currently established as the country's leading airline.
Author Basnet said that the book will provide knowledge for new entrepreneurs and allow them to learn something. "The meaning of this book is consistent. The book contains the dreams and thoughts of starting Buddha Air," he said, adding, "The aviation industry is a very risky industry, various obstacles and difficulties arise, how to move forward by solving and managing them, it is an important task."
Rana, CEO of Himalayan Bank, said that it is a matter of pride for him to have a financial partnership with Buddha Air, which is a model organization in the aviation industry.
Buddha Air, which started in 1997 with four people, currently employs more than 1,500 people. The Airline started its service from Beechcraft 1900D and C aircraft and is currently operating ATR-72 and ATR-42. On the occasion, it was informed that Buddha Air currently has 18 ATR aircraft and has so far operated flights to more than 40 destinations in the country and has so far provided air services to more than 20 million people.
