Kathmandu, April 30: To provide easy and reliable service in sending remittances from abroad to Nepal, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has signed a formal agreement with CBL Money Transfer in Malaysia. Machhapuchchhr Bank Limited formally launched the remittance service on Monday, April 29 in collaboration with CBL Money Transfer in Malaysia to facilitate Nepalis in Malaysia to send remittances to Nepal.

The agreement was signed by Mohammad Saidur Rahman Farazi, chief executive officer of CBL Money Transfer, and Prasidh Raj Aryal, deputy chief executive officer of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited.

With the signing of the agreement, Nepalis living in Malaysia will now be able to send remittances directly to Nepal from 15 branches of CBL Money Transfer in Malaysia, and from the City Remit App of CBL Money Transfer, through 165 branches of Machhapuchhre Bank, 99 branch-based banking services, 11 extension counters and more than 20,000 remittance agents.

In addition, the Bank has added a system to ensure that remittances sent directly from the CBL Money Transfer and Citi Remit App are instantly credited to any bank account in Nepal. For the convenience of Nepali workers in Malaysia, Machhapuchchhre Bank has also provided the service of mobile banking app of Machhapuchchhre Bank on the mobile number of Malaysia.
