Kathmandu, April 29: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Nepal Samajwadi Party Naya Shakti, Dr Baburam Bhattarai, and Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have met in Delhi.

Singh, who is also a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, met with Dr. Bhattarai at the Indian Defense Ministry on Monday. The meeting discussed relations and cooperation between the two countries, Dr Bhattarai's secretariat said on social media.

Dr Bhattarai left for New Delhi on Saturday afternoon to participate as a guest in the inaugural ceremony of the convention of the Pragatisheel Nepali Samaj Samiti, India.

Reports state that Bhattarai had briefed Singh on the latest political situation in Nepal.
