Kathmandu, April 24: Global IME Bank Limited has launched a rooftop solar loan scheme to promote the installation of solar systems in industrial and commercial buildings. The scheme has been introduced on the occasion of the Earth Day.

The main objectives of this loan are to expand access to renewable energy, reduce dependence on hydroelectric power supply, ensure energy security, reduce energy consumption and reduce environmental impact.
