Kathmandu, April 18: The Parsa District Administration Office has lifted the prohibition order in some parts of Birgunj city this morning.

The meeting of the security officials chaired by District Administration Officer Ganesh Aryal decided to lift the prohibition order from 7 am today viewing the normal situation there.

The government imposed a curfew on April 12 after a clash between the local Hindu and Muslim communities on the issue of carrying out a rally on the occasion of the Hanuman Jayenti. The curfew was lifted on April 14, on the occasion of the Nepali New Year 2082, however, the district administration had imposed a prohibition order restricting gatherings and rallies in the area.
