Political leaders were making laude voices when they exported electricity to India and also to Bangladesh. Now, every day, the country is importing 406 MW of electricity from India to end partial electricity load shedding in the industries.
As all the hydropower projects, except the Kulekhani hydropower, are projects based on running the river, during the winter season, these projects are unable to produce even 50% of the full capacity. Therefore, the problem in Nepal is that during the rainy season, we will have excessive hydropower and during the dry season, we face a shortage. The permanent solution to the electricity crisis is the construction of some reservoir models of hydropower projects – Budhi Gandaki, and West Seti, among others.
The government is in dilemma and keeping impending the construction of the reservoir model projects as the Indians are eying on them. As long as our leaders remain the Indian agents, we cannot become self-reliant in any sector.
Temporary relief
After the pre-monsoon rains, we got a temporary relief from the compulsion of consuming the polluted air. The Kathmandu air quality deteriorated to the extent that it ranked at the first position among the countries having hazardous levels of air pollution.
The government collects the environmental tax from every consumer of petroleum products. Until now, the government has collected 26 billion rupees as environment tax but where it is spent, nobody knows.
The main reasons for polluting the air are forest fires and farmers disposing of harvest wastes. The government could control forest firing by mobilizing the local bodies and punishing those who set ablaze in the forest.
Also, to some extent, air pollution could be controlled by plantation of trees in every house in the cities. The government should be serious about such issues.
Promoting Rainbow culture
How the Westerners are destroying our society, is an example of promoting the LGBT community in Nepal. There are no laws related to same-sex marriage but the Court gave an order to register such a marriage between the same-sex couple. Now, the local bodies are registering such marriages all over the country. The Open Society, USAID, the World Bank and the UN have manipulated senior officials, legal experts and leaders from different political parties to promote LGBT.
During the drafting of the present constitution, the Westerners were able to nominate one gay member, Sunilbabu Pant, to the Constituent Assembly and his Blue Dimond Society was recognized in the society.
Now, the Western plan is to develop Nepal as the LGBT capital in Asia. A section of journalists are advocating that LGBT tourism will boost Nepal's economy. Just recently, around 300 LGBT members were seen in a jungle in West Nepal. They were freely carrying out their activities. When the local community protested such activities, the local administration was unable to take any action against the LGBT group.
I quit the (UML) party not because I didn’t get anything, but of late, I am ashamed of the shameful opinions and decisions of the party’s chairman, K.P. Sharma, I took the decision.
I suggest all for not joining either this or that party but remain an independent citizen.

There is talk of half a billion rupees advance payment needed in the appointment of the governor. There will be another big payment after the appointment. Those who boast that the son of the people is the guardian of the country under this system. Will your guardians stop such a practice, of course not, as they also get a share of such payment.
In Nepal, the government cannot arbitrarily place someone under house arrest unless there is a specific legal basis. Placing someone under house arrest would require either a specific law or a specific court order. There is none in the case of Nabaraj Subedi.

The party movements in Nepal empowered those wrong people who have created a vicious cycle of treason, misrule and underdevelopment with the same attitude.
Speaking without taking any party’s side, the incident of March 28 was a planned intrusion of those republicans intended to defame the pro-monarchy people. And that was the weakness of the royalists not to be aware that they may be infiltrated.
The government forms a probe committee when the balloon is blasted on the stage injuring a particular leader. In the incident that killed two people, the government says the probe committee is not necessary!

The population of Delhi State is 36.6 million according to the 2025 census. Nepal’s estimated population is around 33.2 million with 275 federal parliament members and 550 province assembly members in seven provinces. Delhi, has an almost equal population with Nepal, the federal MP’s number is less by 39.28% and province members are less than 7.86%. In such a scenario, where are we heading?
