
Kathmandu, April 14: A team of chiefs of the diplomatic missions in Nepal led by Foreign Minister Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, visited Kanyam, Ilam, on the occasion of New Year 2082 BS. Ambassadors from 12 countries, including the Foreign Minister, have reached the tourist city of Suryodaya Municipality.
They were photographed riding horses dressed in ethnic wear in the tea gardens of Kanyam. At the same time, the taste of tea has also been taken along with the roasting of tea.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Tourism Board jointly organized the Retreat on the occasion of the New Year to promote the tourist destinations Kanyam and Sriantu Danda in Ilam.
The ambassadors, including Minister Deuba, dressed in various ethnic and cultural attires, took photographs in Kanyama. The Homestay Association and the community welcomed Minister Deuba and the delegates of different nationalities and Lapcha culture.
The delegation was welcomed by the representatives of Suryodaya Municipality, including city mayor Ran Bahadur Rai, deputy mayor Durga Kumar Baral, and chief administrator Amrit Rai.
The ambassadors enjoyed horse riding and trekking inside the tea gardens while enjoying the Jhankri and Sakela dances at Kanyam.
On Monday (today), they participated in the sunrise sightseeing from Antudanda, boating in Antupokhari, tea tasting, tea plucking and fishing programs.
